FACILITIES

 

Club Sports uses facilities located on campus, and in the surrounding  communities. The temperate climate of the Willamette Valley, and the close proximity to both mountains and beaches, helps club members be active year-round.

STUDENT RECREATION CENTER (SRC)

UO’s Student Recreation Center (SRC) and adjacent fields serve as the main site for Club Sports practices and events.

Turf fields are located in between the Student Recreation Center and Hayward Field. Grass fields are towards 18th St. from the turf fields.

Tennis courts are located behind the Student Recreation Center.

RIVERFRONT FIELD

Riverfront Field is located between main campus and Autzen Stadium, on the banks of the  Willamette River. This field is the main site for rugby, and other home club events.

Starting on campus, walk across Franklin Boulevard. Head towards Autzen footbridge. The field will be located on the left, prior to crossing over the river.

LANE ICE CENTER

Hockey  practices and hosts home events at the Lane Ice Center, a quick 10 minute drive from the center of campus.

LOWELL STATE PARK, DEXTER LAKE

Rowing Club’s  boathouse is a 20 minute drive east of campus. Located at Lowell State Recreation site, the shores of Dexter Lake provide a scenic setting for practices and regattas.

Also home of Oregon Association of Rowers, and the Annual Covered Bridge Regatta, this site has been recognized as one of the top 2k race courses in the nation.

EUGENE YACHT CLUB, FERN RIDGE RESERVOIR

Sailing’s practice and event location is the Eugene Yacht Club,  a 20 minute drive west of campus.

SNOWSPORTS

Snowsports (alpine, nordic, and snowboard clubs) have a little farther to travel than other clubs. But they can usually get on snow within a 1.5-3 hour drive.
